The production is based upon the hit 2010 London staging, directed by Richard Eyre, that also starred Cattrall. No additional casting has been announced, but the poster for the production proclaims that the Toronto engagement is "Prior to Broadway."

In 2012, Mirvish will present The Blue Dragon (Royal Alexandra Theatre, January-February), directed by Robert Lepage; War Horse (Princess of Wales Theatre, beginning February); and the Diane Paulus-directed production of the musical Hair (Royal Alexandra Theatre, March-April).
