Palm Beach Dramaworks Announces 08-09 Master Playwrights Series

Palm Beach Dramaworks has announced the line up for its 2008-2009 Master Playwrights Series, which will feature the work of Anton Chekhov, Eugene Ionesco, and Eugene O’Neill.

Dramaworks’ Board Chairman Mark Perlberg will host the first of the three segments with O’Neill Overview, a series of scenes from various O’Neill plays, to be presented on October 27-November 4, followed by a staged reading of The Hairy Ape on November 10-18. Dramaworks’ Resident Director J. Barry Lewis will host the Ionesco Overview, December 29-January 6, with a reading of The Bald Soprano on January 12-20.

The series will close with a Chekhov Overview hosted by Dramaworks’ Producing Artistic Director William Hayes, May 11-19, followed by a reading of Uncle Vanya, May 26-June 2.
