Frenchie Davis will play the Fairy Godmother in the Berkeley Playhouse’s production of Cinderella (Enchanted Edition), to run November 6 – December 5 at the Julia Morgan Center. Elizabeth McKoy will direct the show, which will have music direction by Amy Dalton and choreography by Kimberly Dooley.

This version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s adaptation of the classic fairy tale is based on the 1997 television movie. Berkeley Playhouse’s interpretation will include aerial dance and a chorus children-animals.

Davis is perhaps best known for her appearances during season six of American Idol. Her stage credits include Rent on Broadway, the West coast tour of Dreamgirls, and the national tour of Ain’t Misbehavin’, with fellow Idol alum, Ruben Studdard.
