Work by David Henry Hwang, Denis O’Hare Set for Berkeley Rep’s 2012-2013 Season

Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced the productions for its 2012-2013 season.

The season will begin with the West Coast premiere of David Henry Hwang’s comedy Chinglish (August 24-October 7), directed by Leigh Silverman. It will be followed by Mary Zimmerman’s adaptation of a classic romance from Chinese legend The White Snake, (November 9-December 23)


Obie Award-winning director Mark Wing-Davey’s production of Shakespeare’s Pericles, Prince of Tyre, will be presented April 12-May 26.


Also on tap will be Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson’s An Iliad (October 12-November 25) and the world premiere of young writer Dan LeFranc’s Troublemaker, or The Freakin Kick-A Adventures of Bradley Boatright (January 4-February 3) which tells the story of two best friends who tangle with a rich kid, his middle-school goons, zombies, and grown-ups.
