The Marin Theatre Company (MTC) has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will begin with In the Red & Brown Water (September 9 – October 3), the first piece Tarell Alvin McCraney’s The Brother/Sister Plays trilogy, directed by Ryan Rilette. As previously announced, the company is collaborating with American Conservatory Theatre and the Magice Theatre to present the entirety of McCraney’s triptych of plays.

The MTC season will continue with the world premiere of Bill Cain’s portrait of a soldier who is on trial, 9 Circles (October 14 – November 7), directed by Kent Nicholson, and Lucinda Coxon’s investigation of a woman trying to balance family and career with her own happiness, Happy Now? (November 11 – December 5).

In the new year, the company will produce Libby Appel’s new adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Seagull (January 27 – February 20), directed by Jasson Minadakis, who will also direct Edward Albee’s Tiny Alice (June 2-26). The season will be rounded out with David Lindsay-Abaire’s Fuddy Meers (March 31 – April 24), directed by Rilette.
