People's Light & Theatre Company will develop a series of new works over three years in partnership with Longwood Gardens, which encompasses 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, meadows, fountains, a 10,010-pipe Aeolian organ and a 4.5-acre conservatory.

Funded by a grant from The Independence Foundation as part of the 2010 New Theatre Works Initiative, as many as six site-specific theater pieces will be created, focusing on art and science, and how they intersect with themes of sustainability, conservation, and botanical research.
