Walnut Street Theatre Announces 2010-2011 Season for Independence Studio on 3

The Walnut Street Theatre has announced the 2010-2011 season at its 80-seat Independence Studio on 3.

The world premiere of Frank Ferrante’s Caesar’s Palace O’ Fun will kick off the season, November 23 – January 2. It will feature music, variety acts, surprises, and comedy. Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie will be presented in Studio 3, January 18-February 6, prior to going on a national tour.

Marius von Mayenburg’s dark comedy The Ugly One, about a plastic surgeon who goes under the knife, will play February 22 – March 13. Next up will be Andrew Bovell’s thriller Speaking in Tongues will be presented, March 29-April 17.

The season will conclude with My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, May 3-June 26, featuring such famous Sinatra tunes as “Strangers in the Night,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” and “New York, New York.”
