Fela!, Memphis, West Side Story and More Part of the 2011-2012 Broadway Season in Philadelphia

The Kimmel Center has announced the touring productions that will comprise its 2011-2012 Broadway Season.

The subscription series will include Rock of Ages, which will play October 18-23 at the Merriam Theatre. Other productions, all playing at the Academy of Music will be Billy Elliot the Musical (November 16-27); Memphis (January 17-22); Hair (February 28 – March 4), Fela! (March 20-25) and West Side Story (March 27 – April 8).

Other presentations which will be offered alongside these six subscription productions will be a return engagement of Jersey Boys, which will run December 6 – January 15 at the Forrest Theatre, as well as Rain – A Tribute to the Beatles (January 31 – February 5) and a new production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (June 5-10), both of which will play the Academy of Music.
