Bessie Award-winning performer Soledad Barrio and dance company Noche Flamenca will return to Philadelphia for performances at the Merriam Theater, on Saturday, January 23 at 2pm and 8pm.

The Madrid-based flamenco dance company is led by Bessie Award-winner Barrio and her husband, director and choreographer Martin Santangelo. The company's work weaves the communal spirit of this dramatic form into dance, guitar and song. Two of Spain's finest flamenco dancers, Juan Ogalla and Antonio Jiménez, will join Barrio on stage, in addition to five musicians to perform new works, such as the duet love story "Mi Sueño" ("My Dream"), a Soléa (solo) and traditional pieces.
