Michael Graves to Play Mark Twain in The Report of My Death

Featuring rare, previous censored and posthumously published Twain letters, stories, notebooks and historical artifacts, this one-man docudrama follows Samuel Clemens (aka Mark Twain) from his bankruptcy through his worldwide lecture tour, personal tragedies, unlikely recovery, and principled opposition to the Philippine-American War.
Graves' credits include Macbeth (Public Theatre); Timon of Athens (Shakespeare Theatre); and Othello (Mark Taper Forum). Klasfeld's other plays include Good Fences Make Good Neighbors, The Prostitute of Reverie Valley, and Europa's Child.
In related news, Ron Crawford will present all-ages performances of his one-man show Travels with Mark Twain in repertory with The Report of My Death on the deck of the Lilac Steamship.
