Three Day Hangover's Drunkle Vanya has announced plans to extend its off-Broadway run eight weeks through March 4. The irreverent adaptation of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya plays at Russian Samovar's new Tolstoy's Lounge. Directed by Lori Wolter Hudson, production will open officially on February 3.

The six-character interactive and immersive production boasts a cast featuring Joel Rainwater as Vanya, Amanda Sykes as Yelena, Christopher Tocco as Astrov, Leah Walsh as Sonya, Sean Tarrant as the Professor, and Josh Sauerman as Waffles. Caitlin Cisek is the costume designer. The production stage manager is Brooke Bell, and assistant stage manager is Serena Montsma.

Drunkle Vanya tells a story of lost youth and unrequited love "as if it were suspended in time," mixing modern references with Chekhov’s story and language, and incorporating the audience in a series of drinking games. There is a full bar and small plates of Russian delicacies curated by Russian Samovar throughout the performance.
