Adam Chanler-Berat, Jennifer Damiano, Asa Somers, and Aaron Tveit will join previously announced stars Alice Ripley and Brian d'Arcy James in the Second Stage Theatre's production of the musical Next to Normal, with music by Tom Kitt and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey, which will run January 16-March 8, with an official opening on February 13. The show will be directed by Michael Greif, with musical staging by Sergio Trujillo.

The show focuses on an almost average suburban family who must come to grips with a long buried secret. An earlier version was presented at the New York Musical Theatre Festival under the title Feeling Electric.

The show's creative team includes Mark Wendland (sets), Jeff Mahshie (costumes), Kevin Adams (lighting), Brian Ronan (sound), Mary Mitchell Campbell (musical direction), Michael Starobin and Tom Kitt (orchestrations), and AnnMarie Milazzo (vocal arrangements). Greif is a two-time Tony Award nominee for Grey Gardens and Rent. Trujillo's credits include Jersey Boys and All Shook Up.
