Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia was Principal for the Day at Staten Island’s P.S. 41 on October 7.

During his time at the school, he visited with all of the children in specially arranged assemblies, answering questions about his career, worked lunch duty in the school’s cafeteria, and was serenaded by the school’s chorus, singing “The Treasure” from Imaginocean, the musical he has written with composer William Wade.

ImaginOcean, currently running at New World Stages, follows the adventures of a group of fish friends, who uncover a map which leads them to ultimately discover the treasure of each other’s friendship.
