David Sanborn's family-oriented stage musical, King David, will play the Promise Theater, April 9-June 27.

Sanborn will bring to life the epic Biblical story of King David by impersonating some of Hollywood's biggest including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sean Connery, Jimmy Stewart, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, Robert DeNiro, Antonio Banderas, Gene Kelly, Tom Hanks, Jim Carrey and others to depict key characters in this epic Biblical tale.

The production, taken word-for-word from a translation of the Hebrew Scriptures, is set to music by Ellen and David Sanborn, and directed by Ellen Sanborn. The creative team also includes David Onn-San (orchestrator), Bernard Fox, (sound designer), Matthew Miller (lighting designer), and Elizabeth 'Lisa' Richards (costume and scenic designer).
