Emmy-winning actor Richard Thomas and director Barry Edelstein will be among the participants in the Public Theater’s next “Public Forum” event, entitled “Too Rich To Fail: A Town Hall Meeting on Americans and Their Money,” to be held Monday, February 28 at 8pm.

The event coincides with The Public’s production of Timon of Athens, Shakespeare’s timely tragedy about a man who loses and gains a fortune, which is directed by Edelstein, and stars Thomas in the title role. The first part of the Public Forum will feature Thomas and Edelstein discussing Shakespeare’s views on money in a conversation moderated by Emmy-winning writer Randy Cohen.

The second part of the evening will be a wide-ranging conversation about the role of money in our lives. Participants will include David Patrick Columbia, Katy Lederer, and Bethany McLean, with the conversation moderated by Jeremy McCarter.
