Theatre Row is to present NEWSical the Musical: End of the World Edition, beginning February 1. Mark Waldrop directs.
Satirical spoofs of newsmakers and celebrities are added on a regular basis making NEWSical an ever-evolving mockery of all the news that’s fit to print. From Occupy Wall Street to the Mayan calendar, all the biggest stories of the year in pop culture and politics are skewered by composer-lyricist Rick Crom.
The cast features Christine Pedi, Christina Bianco, Michael West, John Walton West, Amy Griffin, and Tommy Walker.
The creative team includes Ed Goldschneider (music director), Jason Courson (set designer), Josh Starr (lighting designer), and Scott Delacruz (stage manager).
