Nancy Anderson, Patti Cohenour, Howard McGillin Set for Paper Mill’s Damn Yankees

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for Damn Yankees, to run March 7 – April 1. Mark S. Hoebee will direct the production, which will have choreography by Denis Jones.

With book by Gorge Abbott and Douglass Wallop and music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, the show charts the Faust-like journey of Joe Boyd when he’s given the chance to take his beloved baseball team, the Washington Senators, to the heights of success.

The company will feature Howard McGillin (Applegate), Chryssie Whitehead (Lola), Christopher Charles Wood (Joe Hardy), Joseph Kolinski (Joe Boyd), Patti Cohenour (Meg Boyd), Nancy Anderson (Gloria Thorpe), Ray DeMattis (Van Buren), Susan Mosher (Sister), Jill Abramovitz (Doris), Steve Czarnecki (Rocky), Gary Lynch (Welch), and Mike Cannon (Smokey).

The ensemble will include Giovanni Bonaventura, Grady McLeod Bowman, Scott Brateng, Dick Decareau, Taurean Everett, Justin Henry, Corey Hummerston, Robin Lounsbury, Robbie Roby, Ryan Steer, Lauren Elaine Taylor, Vaden Thurgood and Anna Aimee White.

The creative team will be comprised of scenic designer Rob Bissinger, costume designer Alejo Vietti, lighting designer Tom Sturge, and sound designer Randy Hansen.
