Brian Stokes Mitchell to Perform in New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concert

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will kick off its first 2011-20112 NJSO POPS concert series with Home for the Holidays with Brian Stokes Mitchell, to be presented at the State Theatre in New Brunswick on Friday, December 9 at 8pm, and at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on Saturday, December 10, at 8pm.

The concert program will include timeless carols and holiday favorites. Constantine Kitsopoulos conducts; the Masterwork Chorus and New Jersey Youth Chorus also join the Orchestra onstage.

Mitchell received a Tony Award for his role as Fred Graham in Kiss Me Kate. In addition, he was Tony-nominated for his performances in Man of La Mancha, Ragtime, and King Hedley II. He most recently appeared on Broadway in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.
