Karen Akers, Rebecca Luker, Andrea Marcovicci, Howard McGillin, KT Sullivan, et al. to Play the Oak Room in 2011

The lineup of artists who will be appearing in the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel in 2011 has been announced.

During the winter and spring the venue will be home to shows featuring Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano, Helluva Town: A New York Soundtrack (January 4-15); Steve Ross, Rhythm & Romance (January 18 – February 12); Maude Maggart, Everybody’s Doin’ It (February 15 – March 12); Jessica Molaskey and Dave Frishberg, Do You Miss New York? (March 15 – April 2); KT Sullivan, Rhyme, Women & Song (May 3-28); and Claire Martin and Sir Richard Rodney Bennett, A Couple of Swells – Songs of Irving Berlin (May 31 – June 18).

After a summer hiatus, the Oak Room will reopen with an appearance by Howard McGillin and Rebecca Luker (September 6-24). Also on the schedule are Karen Akers (September 27 – October 29), Sandy Stewart and Bill Charlap (November 1-12) and Andrea Marcovicci (November 15 – December 30).
