On Monday, November 1, the Casting Society of America presented its 2010 Artios Awards in ceremonies held in both Los Angeles, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel, and New York, at the American Airlines Theatre. Playwright Tony Kushner was the 2010 New York Apple Award Honoree.
Presenters at the New York ceremony included David Duchovny, Charles Kimbrough, Jim Gaffigan, Carla Gugino, John Benjamin Hickey, Anthony Mackie, Aasif Mandvi, Elizabeth Marvel, Zachary Quinto, Christina Ricci, John Slattery, Lili Taylor, Bernard Telsey, and Jeffrey Wright.
In Los Angeles, Lily Tomlin hosted the ceremony, with presenters including Ty Burrell, Viola Davis, Victoria Justice, Diane Lane, John Lithgow, Joe Manganiello and Vanessa Williams. Also in attendance were actors Eden Brolin and Julius Tennon.
Winners included Alain Alldaffer, James Calleri, Jim Carnahan, Michael Donovan, Carrie Gardner, Judy Henderson, Erika Sellin, Margery Simkin, and Cindy Tolan. In addition, non-competitive awards were presented to Marcy Carsey, Ellen Chenoweth, and Tony Kushner. For additional details, see our previous story on the Artios winners.
