Grey Gardens star Matt Cavenaugh will be replacing former Tony Award nominee Matthew Morrison as Adam Munson in the CBS soap opera As the World Turns, according to TVGuide.com. Morrison first appeared on the show on October 24 and his last appearance will be on November 27. Cavenaugh will first appear on the soap on November 29.

The character is the biological son of Margo Montgomery (Ellen Dolan) and Hal Munson (the late Benjamin Hendrickson) and the adopted son of Tom Hughes (Scott Holmes). Adam was actually born in 1988; but he was aged an additional four years in 1992 and then aged again this year.

Cavenaugh currently plays the dual roles of Joseph Kennedy, Jr. and Jerry in Grey Gardens. He starred as Bud in the Broadway musical Urban Cowboy and appeared this summer in the Williamstown Theatre Festival's production of Anything Goes. Cavenaugh previously played the role of gay college student Mark Solomon on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live.
