CBS Buys Aasif Mandvi Project

CBS has bought a new comedy project from actor and writer Aasif Mandvi.
Mandvi will write and star in the series, in which he would play a recently divorced marriage counselor.
Mandvi won an Obie for his one-man show, Sakina’s Restaurant. His other stage credits include Oklahoma!, Death Defying Acts, Trudy Blue, Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom, and Einstein’s Gift. He is best known for being the Middle East correspondent on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.
