Jenn Colella, Darius de Haas, Anika Noni Rose, et al. Added to NAMT Festival of New Musicals Lineup

The National Alliance for Musical Theater has announced additional casting for the 2010 Festival of New Musicals, as well as the lineup of writers and performers for its Songwriters Showcase. The event will be offered October 21-22 at New World Stages, with limited seating open to the public.

The performers for the showcase will include Anika Noni Rose, who will be featured as a songwriting collaborator with Jeremy Alan Richards & Eugene Gwozdz. Also scheduled to perform are Darius de Haas, Zachary Prince, Gabriel Violett, Aurelia Williams, and Lauren Worsham. The other songwriting teams are Joshua Cohen & Marisa Michelson; Evan Yionoulis & Mike Yionoulis; Eric Price & Will Reynolds; Shaina Taub; Jonathan Reid Gealt; Michael Wartofsky & Marcus Gardley; and Hyeyoung Kim & Dina Gregory.

Additional casting for the musicals that will be included in the festival include Stephen Berger who will be replacing the previously announced Michael Kostroff in Big Red Sun.

Jill Paice and Brian Bohr will join John Cudia and company for The Bowery Boys.
P.J. Benjamin, Sydney James Harcourt, and Zakiya Young will join the cast of Heartbreakers; Jenn Colella is replacing the previously reported Nancy Anderson in Play It Cool; Ben Harney will be part of the Red Clay company; and John Jellison completes the cast of The Trouble With Doug.
