Billy Crudup, Paul Giamatti, William Hurt, Cynthia Nixon, Tony Shalhoub, et al. Set for HBO’s Too Big to Fail

Casting has been announced for the HBO movie adaptation of Too Big to Fail, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, to be directed by Curtis Hanson, is based on Andrew Ross Sorkin’s book of the same name about the recent financial crisis. A large number of theater veterans will be featured in the cast.

The cast will by led by Academy Award winner and stage veteran William Hurt as Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

The cast also features Paul Giamatti at Ben Bernanke, Topher Grace as Jim Wilkinson, Ed Asner as Warren Buffett, Tony Shalhoub as John Mack, James Woods as Dick Fuld, Dan Hedaya as Barney Frank, Cynthia Nixon as Michele Davis, Michael O’Keefe as Chris Flowers, Ayad Akhtar as Neel Kashkari, Kathy Baker as Wendy Paulson, Billy Crudup as Timothy Geithner, and Joey Slotnick as Dan Jester.
