Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway to Begin Run October 25 at Broadhurst Theatre

Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman will star in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway, to run October 25-January 1 at The Broadhurst Theatre, with an official opening night set for November 10.


In the show, which had earlier incarnations in San Francisco and Toronto, Jackman performs a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers that reflect on his life and career. He will be accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra.


The creative team includes Warren Carlyle (musical staging and choreography), Patrick Vaccariello (musical direction), John Lee Beatty (scenic designer), Ken Billington (lighting design), William Ivey Long (costume designer), John Shivers (sound design), and Alexander V. Nichols (projection and video design).


Jackman won the Tony Award for his portrayal of The Boy From Oz and last appeared on Broadway in A Steady Rain. His many films include X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Australia, and The Fountain; his upcoming films include Blue Steel and Les Miserables, in he which he will play Jean Valjean. He hosted the Tony Awards from 2003 to 2005, earning one Emmy Award and one Emmy nomination, and also hosted the 81st Annual Academy Awards.
