UnsungMusicalsCo. Inc. will present a special reading of a revised version of the 1969 musical comedy, The Fig Leaves Are Falling, on Friday, July 29 at 3pm at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Creative Center (311 West 43rd Street). The reading will be directed by Ben West with musical direction and arrangements by Andrew Graham.

The show, which features book and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Allan Sherman and music by Tony Award winner Albert Hague, is a swinging ’60s satire of suburban life, love and infidelity.

This new one-act version refocuses the story by employing a smaller cast of eight and eliminating six musical numbers, while restoring three previously cut songs: “Man”, “Anything Can Happen”, “Westchester Wildcat”.

The cast will feature John Bolton, Troy Britton Johnson, Natalie Venetia Belcon, Cortney Wolfson, Pilin Anice, Jonathan Burke, Catherine LeFrere, and Christopher Ruth.
