New York Philharmonic’s Company to Have Additional Screenings June 16 and 19

The New York Philharmonic’s concert presentation of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s Company, which as previously reported will be screened in select movie theaters beginning June 15, has expanded to an additional 265 movie screens nationwide through National CineMedia’s Digital Broadcast Network on Thursday, June 16, at 7:30pm and Sunday, June 19 at Noon.

The performance, which was seen earlier this year at Avery Fisher Hall, is directed by Lonny Price, with choreography by Josh Rhodes. The Philharmonic is conducted by Paul Gemignani.

With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by George Furth, Company follows five couples and their bachelor friend, Bobby, exploring the true meaning of being in a relationship through a series of vignettes.

The cast features Craig Bierko (Peter), Stephen Colbert (Harry), Jon Cryer (David), Katie Finneran (Amy), Neil Patrick Harris (Bobby), Christina Hendricks (April), Aaron Lazar (Paul), Patti LuPone (Joanne), Jill Paice (Susan), Martha Plimpton (Sarah), Anika Noni Rose (Marta), Jennifer Laura Thompson (Jenny), Jim Walton (Larry), and Chryssie Whitehead (Kathy), as well as Alexa Green, Fred Inkley, Rob Lorey, Jessica Vosk, Callie Carter, Ariana DeBose, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, and Lorin Latarro.
