Marga Gomez, Tom Judson, David Mixner et al. Set for Dixon Place’s HOT! Festival

Dixon Place has announced full programming for the 20th annual HOT! Festival of queer performance, which coincides with The 25th Anniversary of Dixon Place. The festival will run June 24-August 6.

As previously reported, Tom Judson, who is better known by his gay porn alter ego Gus Mattox, will kick off the festival with his new cabaret act, The Tom Judson Show, June 24 and 25 at 7:30pm. There will also be a free-of-charge opening night party for the festival, hosted by Anti-Diva, on June 24 at 6pm, featuring a preview of festival attractions.

Marga Gomez will bring her new solo show Not Getting Any Younger to Dixon Place, July 29 and 30 at 9:30pm. Another highlight will be the From the Front Porch: An Evening with David Mixner on July 11, which will be a benefit for Dixon Place and Ali Forney Center.

James Scruggs’ Tickets to Manhood (July 14-30), directed by Mark Rayment, examines the choices that boys make as they mature into men. The cast will include Scruggs, along with Douglas Allen, Maximiliano Balduzzi, Spencer Scott Barros, and Gerard Joseph.

Highlights will also include the open mic series Take the Mic! (June 27, July 25), hosted by Marti Gould Cummings; the storytelling series PITCH!, hosted by Greg Walloch and Mark Allen (June 29, July 27); DYKE-OPALYPSE: Laughing at the End of the World (July 8), hosted by Elizabeth Whitney, and featuring Andrea Alton, Drae Campbell, Kelli Dunham, Victoria Libertore, Lea Robinson and special guests; Milk Not Jails Ice Cream Social (July 24), co-hosted by Milk Not Jails and Great Small Works Spaghetti Dinner/Jenny Romaine; STEVE HAYES: Tired Old Queen at the Movies LIVE! “Movie Stars Sing at Last!” (August 6), written & performed by Steve Hayes and Mark Milano; and The Laugh Tour presents: HOT FLAMING COMICS, hosted by Rich Kiamco, and featuring Kiamco along with Vidur Kapur, Adam Sank, Frank Liotti, Mona Cooper, Emma Willman, and DICK + DUANE.

Among the other artists participating in the festival are Wendell Cooper, Cole Escola, Yvonne Fly Onakeme Etaghene, Coby Koehl, Nick Leyva, Victoria Libertore, Kestryl Cael Lowrey, Erin Markey, Isaac Oliver, Nick Ryan, Pamela Sneed, and the burlesque artist World Famous *BOB*.
