John Larroquette, Brooke Shields et al. to Be Honored at Broadway Beacon Awards

John Larroquette will be honored at Inside Broadway’s 2011 Broadway Beacon Awards to be held on Thursday, June 23 at The Players Club. FOX reporter Julie Chang will host the event.

As previously reported, the invite-only ceremony will also honor Brooke Shields, New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, and Ofer Yardeni, managing partner & co-founder of Stonehenge Partners.

Larroquette is currently Tony-nominated for his Broadway debut in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, for which he recently won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical. He is best known for his television work, which has earned him a total of five Emmy Awards and seven nominations.

Shields will soon be starring on Broadway in The Addams Family. Her other Broadway credits include Chicago, Cabaret, Wonderful Town, and Grease. On television, she starred in this NBC sitcom Suddenly, Susan, earning two Golden Globe nominations. She also went on to star in Lipstick Jungle for NBC and has appeared in several films, including The Blue Lagoon.

Inside Broadway develops and produces touring equity musical productions as well as vital after-school arts programs that allow New York City students to interact with professionals in the field and experience theater.
