Prince of Broadway, the new musical celebrating legendary Broadway director and producer Harold “Hal” Prince, previously announced for a Fall 2012 opening, will now open on Broadway in Fall of 2013 at a theater to be announced.

Prince will be co-directing the show along with Susan Stroman, who will also do choreography. The musical will have a book by David Thompson, and will feature words and music from many of the shows that have earned Prince a record 21 Tony Awards.

Steven Baruch, Marc Routh, Richard Frankel and Tom Viertel will now be producing Prince of Broadway, which will have scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Howell Binkley and sound design by Jonathan Deans. The production will also feature musical supervision, incidental music, vocal and dance arrangements by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, orchestrations by Don Sebesky and musical direction by Eric Stern.

The previously reported cast — which includes Sebastian Arcelus, Sierra Boggess, Daniel Breaker, Josh Grisetti, Shuler Hensley, Richard Kind, Amanda Kloots-Larsen, Linda Lavin, LaChanze, Caroline O’Connor, David Pittu, and Emily Skinner — cannot be confirmed at this time. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
