There will also be a radio broadcast in New York on Classical 105.9 FM WQXR, which will be streamed online at 8pm EST.

Four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will perform songs of Duke Ellington at the benefit, which will feature the New York Philharmonic under the baton of Music Director Alan Gilbert. Participants will also include pianist Emanuel Ax, violinist Gil Shaham, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

The gala will benefit Carnegie Hall’s artistic and education programs and includes a dinner-dance at The Plaza with the artists following the concert.
