Ben Vereen to Perform at Dr. Oz’s Health Corps Gala, Honoring Hugh Jackman, Russell Simmons

Tony Award winner Ben Vereen will perform at Dr. Oz’s Health Corps Gala, to be held at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City, on Wednesday, April 13 beginning at 6:30pm.

Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman and his wife Deb will be among the honorees, as will Def Poetry Jam producer Russell Simmons and developer Tibor Hollo. The gala is entitlted ‘Fresh From the Garden’ and will support the organization’s fight against child obesity.

Vereen earned a Tony Award for his performance in Pippin. Among his other Broadway credits are Wicked, Fosse, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair, Jelly’s Last Jam, Grind, and I’m Not Rappaport.
