 | | Jensen Ackles | Jensen Ackles and Lou Diamond Phillips will star in a revival of Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men, to play June 5-10 at the Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas.
First produced on Broadway in 1989 -- and filmed in 1992 with Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson in the leads -- A Few Good Men concerns Lt. Daniel Kaffee, a young and inexperienced Navy lawyer who must defend two Marines accused of murder. Sorkin later gained fame as the writer of the TV series The West Wing and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
Ackles, who will play Kaffee, stars on the CW series Supernatural; he is also known for his work on the TV series Smallville and Days of Our Lives. Phillips received Tony Award and Drama Desk Award nominations, as well as a Theatre World Award, for playing the King of Siam in the 1996 Broadway revival of The King and I. His many film credits include Young Guns, La Bamba, and Courage Under Fire.
