Tony Award winner Billy Joel has canceled plans to release his memoir, The Book of Joel, which was scheduled to hit stores later this year.
As previously reported, Joel’s book was to cover the stories behind his many hits, his broken marriage to Christie Brinkley, and his struggles with depression and substance abuse, among other topics.
Joel’s music was used as the basis for the musical Movin’ Out, for which Joel won a Tony Award for Best Orchestrations.
