Borders to Close All Stores
Borders, the 40-year-old bookstore chain, has filed for bankruptcy and will close all of its stores and begin liquidating their contents shortly, according to reports.
Earlier this year, the company had announced plans to close 200 of its 650 stores nationwide after filing Chapter 11.
The company held book signings at events at many of its stores, including its New York branch at the Time Warner Center.
