Stage and screen star Meryl Streep will be honored at the Berlin Film Festival, which runs February 9-19.
She will receive the festival’s top award, The Golden Bear, on February 14 in conjunction with a screening of her newest film, The Iron Lady.
The festival will show a variety of Streep’s other films, including Kramer vs. Kramer, and Sophie’s Choice, both of which earned her Academy Awards. She has been nominated for a record 16 Oscars.
Streep’s many stage credits include Mother Courage and Her Children, The Seagull, Happy End, and The Cherry Orchard.
