Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd will reprise their roles as married couple Debbie and Pete, which they played in the 2007 film Knocked Up, according to Variety. Judd Apatow will write and direct the as-yet-untitled film comedy, which is expected to open in summer 2012.

Details of the plot have not yet been released, nor is it known whether Knocked Up stars Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl will also appear in the film.

Rudd’s New York stage credits include Three Days of Rain, Twelfth Night, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, bash: latter day plays, and The Shape of Things. His upcoming films include My Idiot Brother and Wanderlust. Mann has appeared in numerous films — many either directed or produced by Apatow, who is also her husband.
