Helen Hayes, Carmen Miranda, Gregory Peck, Mark Twain, et al. to Be Featured on USPS Commemorative Stamps in 2011

Three-time Tony Award winner Helen Hayes will be featured on a commemorative stamp to be issued by the U.S. Postal Service in 2011. In addition, the USPS will release a stamp featuring writer Mark Twain, film and stage star Gregory Peck, and a series of stamps bearing the images of such Latin artists as Tito Puente, Carmen Miranda, and Celia Cruz.

Hayes won Tony Awards for Happy Birthday in 1947 and Time Remembered in 1958. In addition, she received the Lawrence Langner Memorial Award in 1980. Among her many other stage credits are Harvey, To the Ladies, What Every Woman Knows, Mary of Scotland, and Victoria Regina.

Her many film and television appearances include Airport, The Front Page, Harvey, Hawaii Five-0, and Herbie Rides Again.
