Jon Hamm, Neil Huff, Deirdre O’Connell, Ken Olin, Jennifer Westfeldt, et al. Set for Powerhouse Theater Events

Vassar & New York Stage and Film’s Powerhouse Theater has announced casting for its Readings Festival 2.

Vikki Eugenis, Ashley Fisher, Chloe Goutal, Molly Houlahan, Olivia Oguma, Tanya Tawengwa, Kennebrew Taylor, and Angelic Zambrana will be featured in a reading of Eve Ensler’s I Am an Emotional Creature: the secret life of girls around the world (July 29), co-directed by Josie Rourke and Rosario Dawson.

Keira Keeley, Halley Wegryn Gross, Kate Bornstein, Ken Olin, and Deirdre O’Connell will be featured in F to M (July 30), by Patricia Wettig, directed by Maria Mileaf.

Kate Walbert’s A Short History of Women (July 31), directed by Judith Ivey, will feature Rachel Black, Patricia Kalember, Peter McRobbie, Pamela Payton-Wright, Heidi Schreck, Robert Stanton, and Monica West.

Romulus Linney & Eleanor Cooney’s Over Martinis, Driving Somewhere (July 31), directed by Michael Wilson, will feature Shannon Burkett, James DeMarse, Lecy Goranson, Neil Huff, and Kathryn Meisle.

Rebecca Creskoff, Rosemarie Dewitt, Noah Emmerich, Jon Hamm, Adam Scott, and Jennifer Westfeldt will be featured in a reading of Westfeldt’s screenplay, Friends With Kids (August 1).

Finally, Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater’s new musical Umbrage (August 1), directed by Peter Askin, will feature Monika Oliveira, wity other cast members to be announced.

In addition, the workshop of 1940’s Radio Hour (July 31) by Walton Jones, will feature John Ellison Conlee, Constantine Germanacos, Joe Grifasi, Megan McGinnis, Jessi Trauth, Shona Tucker, and Josh Wynn. In addition, all the actors of the Powerhouse Apprentice Company are included in the workshop: Christopher Adams-Cohen, Frankie Allegra, Richard Bastuck, Daniel Belford, Marissa Bergman, Maureen Boman, Katherine Burns, Ross Carmichael, Mara Dale, Genevieve Fowler, Juliet Garrett, Talia Heller, Margaux LeBlanc, Emily Kaplan, Rachel Katz, Diane Machin, Victoria McNaughton, Elisabeth Mitchell, Jonathan Patterson, Francesca Placidi, Clare Redden, Leslie Roth, Bria Schultz, Laura Schramm, Rachel Sedwick, Brian Shaffer, Alexa Smith, Gracierae Smith-Gallegos, Rashaad Spence, Kate Wachsman, and Michael Wachowiak. Mark Linn-Baker will direct, with musical direction by Andrew Gerle.
