Robert Wilson World Premiere to Be Part of Guggenheim’s 2009 Works & Process Series

The world premiere of Robert Wilson’s Kool – Dancing in My Head has been commissioned as part of the Guggenheim’s Works & Process series, and will be presented at The Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, April 17 and 18 at 7:30 pm.

Wilson will be working with Carla Blank to create a performance portrait inspired by Suzushi Hanayagi, legendary Japanese choreographer and member of the Judson Church Dance movement. This production is part of Third Mind Live, a series of performances presented in conjunction with The Third Mind: American Artists Contemplate Asia, 1860-1989, on view at the Guggenheim, January 30-April 19.

2009 Works & Process events will also include presentations by the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ethan Stiefel, Donald Hall, Scent Opera, and more.
