Grammy Award winner and theater veteran Melissa Manchester will be the special guest star at the Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs and ASCAP's next MAC/ASCAP Songwriters' Showcase West Meets East (Coast, That Is...) on October 31 at 2pm at the Metropolitan Room. Jamie deRoy will host.

Shelly Markham, Geoffrey Leigh Tozer, and Mark Winkler are among singer-songwriters from the West Coast scheduled to appear.

Manchester is a respected recording and concert artist. Her many hits include "Come In From the Rain," "Midnight Blue," and "Don't Cry Out Loud." She is also the co-author of the musical I Sent a Letter to My Love, and has appeared on stage in such works as Sweeney Todd, Song and Dance, and Hats!, which also includes songs that she wrote.
