On Thursday afternoon, the Outer Critics Circle Awards were bestowed at the world-famous Sardi's. Mel Brooks was definitely pleased to accept the Best Musical award for Young Frankenstein.

Ian McShane, star of Best Revival winner The Homecoming, came to the ceremony with his lovely wife, Gwen.

Paulo Szot and Danny Burstein were both honored for their work in Lincoln Center's revival of South Pacific.

Burstein's beautiful and talented wife, Mary Poppins' star Rebecca Luker, was on hand for the special occasion.

Former winner Karen Ziemba, soon to wrap up her stint in the Broadway musical Curtains, was one of the award presenters.

On Wednesday night, the Atlantic Theater Company celebrated the opening of Conor McPherson's Port Authority. Here are the show's trio of stars: Tony Award winner John Gallagher, Jr., 2008 Tony nominee Jim Norton, and Brian d'Arcy James, soon to take on the title role in the Broadway-bound Shrek the Musical.

Marylouise Burke and 2008 Tony nominee David Pittu, who co-starred in Is He Dead?, were among the opening night guests.

Gallagher's former Spring Awakening cohorts, director Michael Mayer and co-star Lauren Pritchard, were on hand for the occasion.

On Tuesday, the cast and creative team of the Roundabout Theatre's upcoming production of The Marriage of Bette and Boo met the press. Here are director Walter Bobbie and author Christopher Durang.

Victoria Clark, currently receiving rave reviews for her work at Inner Voices at the Zipper, will be among the show's stars.

The star-studded cast will also include John Glover, Julie Hagerty, and Christopher Evan Welch.

There have been lots of exciting goings-on backstage this week at the season's hit musicals. Becki Newton, who plays Ugly Betty's scheming Amanda, congratulated 2008 Tony nominee Robin DeJesus over at In the Heights.

Over at Passing Strange, four-time Tony winner Audra McDonald stopped by to say hello to star and co-creator Stew on Thursday.

Fellow Tony winner and ABC series star Sara Ramirez also came to the award-winning musical on Thursday.
