Tony Award winners Linda Lavin and Dick Latessa will reprise their starring roles in Nicky Silver’s The Lyons, which will transfer to Broadway’s Cort Theatre beginning the first week of April, with an official opening before the April 26 cutoff for the 2012 Tony Awards. Exact dates are to be announced.

Mark Brokaw will once again direct, and the other original cast members from the Vineyard Theatre’s Off-Broadway presentation — Michael Esper, Kate Jennings Grant, Brenda Pressley and Gregory Wooddell — are expected to return as well.

The Lyons, which will be Silver’s first play to come to Broadway, is about a family grappling with the impending death of its patriarch (played by Latessa).
