Julian Ovenden Replaces Steven Pasquale in Rodgers and Hammerstein New York Pops Concert

The ”Downton Abbey” star steps in for Pasquale at Carnegie Hall.

Downton Abbey star Julian Ovenden will replace the previously announced Steven Pasquale (The Bridges of Madison County) in the New York Pops program My Favorite Things: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein on Friday, October 9, at 8pm at Carnegie Hall. Pasquale will no longer be available to perform in the concert.

Ovenden joins Sierra Boggess (School of Rock) for the program, directed by Steven Reineke, and featuring numbers from all 11 of the collaborations between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Selections will include "A Wonderful Guy" and "Some Enchanted Evening" from South Pacific, the title song from The Sound of Music, and "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’" from Oklahoma!

Ovenden currently has a recurring role in the CBS series Person of Interest and recently starred in the Olivier-nominated play My Night With Reg and the acclaimed television series Downton Abbey as Charles Blake. His other television credits include Foyle's War, Smash, Poirot, Cashmere Mafia, The Forsyte Saga, Any Human Heart, Family Guy, and the ABC miniseries The Assets.
