Constellations, Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson, Adds Additional Performances

The Broadway production of Nick Payne's Constellations, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ruth Wilson, has added a trio of 10pm performances to its schedule, with specially priced tickets to make the production affordable for and accessible to younger audiences.

The additional performances are Fridays February 27, March 6, and March 13 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. During these three weeks, the show will have nine performances each week. Half of the tickets for the 10pm shows will be offered to patrons of MTC's 30 Under 30 program, which makes tickets for all Manhattan Theatre Club shows for theatergoers age 30 and under available for $30.

Constellations explores the relationship between Roland (Gyllenhaal), a beekeeper, and Marianne (Wilson), a quantum physicist, through the concept of the multiverse theory, where several scenarios can coexist at the same time. The production is directed by Michael Longhurst.

Oscar nominee Gyllenhaal and Golden Globe winner Wilson make their Broadway debuts in Payne's two-hander, which premiered at the Royal Court in 2012 before moving to the West End's Duke of York's Theatre later that year.

The creative team for Constellations includes Tom Scutt (scenic and costume design), Lee Curran (lighting design), David McSeveney (sound design), and Lucy Cullingford (movement direction).
