Bernadette Peters to Sign Copies of New Children's Book, Stella and Charlie

Tony Award-winning Broadway icon Bernadette Peters will sign copies of her new children's book, Stella and Charlie: Friends Forever, on Saturday, October 17 at Bloomingdales on 59th Street in Manhattan. The event, which kicks off with a reading by Peters from the children's tale, will take place beginning at 2pm.
Stella and Charlie: Friends Forever is a story of friendship inspired by Peters’ work with shelter animals and her personal experience with animal adoption. All of the proceeds from the sale of the book benefits Peters' organization Broadway Barks, which works to rescue animals in shelters and raise awareness about the beauty of adoption.
Peters has starred on Broadway in Follies, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Gypsy, and Sunday in the Park With George. She received Tony Awards for her performances in Annie Get Your Gun and Song and Dance, and Golden Globe Award for her performance in the film Pennies From Heaven.
