Actor and Daily Show regular Aasif Mandvi will host MCC's annual Miscast gala, to be held Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The event features Broadway performers seizing their chance to sing songs from roles they would be completely wrong for.

Joining the roster are Ben Platt of Pitch Perfect and Broadway’s The Book of Mormon, and Leslie Odom Jr., who currently stars as Aaron Burr in the Public Theater's musical Hamilton. As previously announced, the lineup also includes Emmy Award winner Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black), Tony Award winners Laura Benanti (Gypsy), Linda Lavin (The Lyons), and Jessie Mueller (Beautiful — The Carole King Musical), Tony Award nominees Annaleigh Ashford (You Can't Take It With You), Christopher Fitzgerald (Chicago), Joshua Henry (Violet), Jeremy Jordan (Newsies), and Ramin Karimloo (Les Misérables), and stage and screen star Ana Gasteyer (Suburgatory).

This year's gala will honor Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-nominated stage and screen actress Sarah Paulson, who appeared in MCC's productions of Still Life and Colder Than Here, as well as legendary theatrical producer Fran Weissler (Chicago).

The honorary co-chairs of the event are James Earl Jones and wife Cecilia, Jessica Lange, Christopher Plummer and wife Elaine, and Harvey Weinstein.
