Additional Productions Announced for 2016 New York Musical Festival

Additional selections for the 2016 New York Musical Festival have been announced. The festival, formerly named the New York Musical Theatre Festival, will take place from July 11-August 7 at various venues around Manhattan.

The production lineup will include The Gold, by Phil Yosowitz and Andrea Lepcio; Single by Karen Bishko and Nat Bennett; Camp Rolling Hills by Adam Spiegel, David Spiegel, and Stacy Davidowitz; and Ludo's Broken Bride by Ludo, Stacey Weingarten, and Dana Levinson.

The developmental reading selections are Artemis in the Parking Lot by Shayok Misha Chowdhury and Laura Grill; Crude by Maureen Condon; and Molly Murphy and Neil deGrasse Tyson on Our Last Day on Earth, by Molly Beach Murphy and Loren Berí.

The 2016 special events include presentations of Ronvé O’Daniel and Jevares Myrick's iLLA! A Hip Hop Musical and Amy Steinberg's Breaking the Moon.

Dan Markley serves as NYMF's executive director and producer. Curation of the 2016 Festival is led by Rachel Sussman, who joins NYMF this year as director of programming and artist services.
