Janie Brookshire, Shawn Fagan, Sean McNall, et al. Set for Pearl Theatre’s The Misanthrope
Pearl Theatre Company has announced casting for Moliere’s The Misanthrope, to run January 14 -February 20 at New York City Center Stage II. Joseph Hanreddy will direct the production.
The play is a satire about the hypocrisies of French aristocratic society and chronicles an eventful day in the unstable love-life of the petulant Alceste and a flirtatious young gossip, Célimène, who spends her time entertaining fops and fools in her fashionable home.
The company will feature Matthew Amendt (Acaste), Janie Brookshire (Célimène), Dominic Cuskern (Basque/ Dubois), Shawn Fagan (Philinte), Patrick Halley (Clitandre), Robin LeMon (Eliante), Kern McFadden (Oronte/Guard), Sean McNall (Alceste), and Joey Parsons (Arsinoe).
The creative team will include Harry Feiner (scenic design), Sam Flemming (costume design), Stephen Petrilli (lighting design), and M.L. Dogg (sound design). .
