Daniel Beaty’s Through the Night to Transfer to Westside Theatre in January

Writer/performer Daniel Beaty’s award-winning solo show, Through the Night, will resume performances at the Westside Theatre on January 24. The production, directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, recently concluded its run at at the Union Square Theatre on December 5. In its new home, the piece will be offered on Monday evenings at 8pm.

In the show, Beaty portrays a variety of African-American characters, ranging from an inquisitive 10-year-old boy to an elderly preacher, all of whom are connected through their community.

Through the Night recently won the 2010 Audelco Recognition Award for Outstanding Solo Performance, as well as the 2010 Voice of Change Award, both of which Beaty received on Monday, November 15.
